Kerik for Homeland Security

The New York Daily News reports that former NY City Chief of Police Bernard Kerik is the frontrunner to head the Department of Homeland Security in the President's second term.

I posted yesterday that I thought it unlikely that either Kerik or Rudy Giuliani would accept the nomination, as they had just embarked into the investment banking field with Giuliani's company, of which Kerik is an executive VP, purchasing a division of Ernst & Young.

I suggested that the President might want to nominate A.C. Ernst, except that he has been dead since 1948.
