They chant, 'Make Marijuana Legal!'
On Tuesday, Alaska's voters will decide whether the State will be the first in the nation to legalize possession, sale, and use of marijuana. In Oregon, voters will decide whether to expand the definition of medical use of pot, while voters in Montana might choose to allow the medical use of the drug.
This is a stretch, almost in jest, but I wonder if JF Kerry's peacenik/hippy support will affect the outcome of these votes. Alaska is solidly in the Bush column. Montana is consistently Bush, while Oregon is consistent Kerry but within the margin.
But that's the pot vote, and perhaps Kerry has several positions on the matter. His thinking, you know, is often smoky.
