The Sunday Morning Talk Shows

For the summary, you can subscribe free to the Rightsided Newsletter and/or you can read it online. This week looks as if it will be about as exciting as any other… right.

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to Tony Blair, and Russert will have that glint in his eye when he asks about "Bush's poodle." He has Matalin and Carville next, but nothing good ever comes of that.

FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace will have Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and our old friend Joe Lieberman, the junior Dem Senator from Connecticut and… Al Gore's erstwhile puppy?

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer talks to Connecticut's other Dem Senator, Chris Dodd, as well as Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina.

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos will chat it up with Senators John McCain and Arlen Specter, perhaps with a defensive Specter in turn defending the President from McCain's sometimes glib and careless commentary. He'll also talk to Newton, once the Speaker, and Richard Haass, a former State Department guy who has also worked with the liberal Brookings Institution and is currently prez of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolfgang Blitzer has Israeli Vice Prime Minister Ehud Olmert; Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat; Lynne Cheney; Senators Dick Lugar and Carl Levin; and some others.

I will review and summarize the shows for Sunday's Rightsided Newsletter, to which you can subscribe for free by visiting the web site at http://rightsided.tripod.com, or by sending a blank e-mail to rsn-subscribe [AT] topica.com.

It will arrive if your inbox shortly after it is completed early Sunday afternoon.
