Self-Immolation of an Informant
We talked yesterday about the man who wanted to hand-deliver a letter to the President, was not allowed access, and set himself ablaze. He said he was a confidential FBI informant, and he was. Long story short, he had blabbed to the Washington Post. He asserted that the FBI then harassed his family, and he burned himself up because he didn't like the FBI.
Get Hank Waxman, nostrils flaring, to demand answers. Open a joint-Congressional investigation, and get the New York Times to run a story saying that this is worse than Abu-Ghraib. Demand the resignations of Gerry Mueller and John Aschroft. Well, demand that Ashcroft retract his previous resignation so he can be forced from his job by indignant Dems.
