Praise for McGreevey

Sanctimonious New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey played the victim, with his photos at his farewell press conference reminding one reporter of the Roman Catholic Stations of the Cross, and he probably believed every thing he said about himself.

So did the New York Times in editorial:
At the end, Mr. McGreevey gave an example of the kind of quality government citizens can get from a leader who is not preoccupied with his future political career.
Many a corrupt Democrat politician has looked to the Gray Drunk Lady – or whatever the broadsheet is called these days – for redemption.
