Cabinet Resignations

Attorney General John Ashcroft submitted his handwritten letter of resignation to the President on Election Day. No leaks, and word came out this afternoon.

Rudy Giuliani has been mentioned as a possibility, and he is considered to be a "moderate." He sounded very "intolerant," as the left defines the term, during the campaign, however.

The other cabinet member to step down is Commerce Secretary Don Evans, a close friend of the President and a key part of his economic team.

[Steven Taylor (PoliBlogger) has speculation about who might realistically fill both posts.]
