West Virginia Republic Delegate Won't Vote for Bush
Richie Robb -- the Republican mayor of Charleston, West Virginia, for nearly three decades, was also elected to be one of the State's four GOP electors called into action if the President wins the popular vote there on November 2. If the President wins the State, however, he will cast his Republican vote for someone else. Robb believes "wrong war, wrong place, wrong time" and that President Bush has brought economic disaster on his town of 13,000.
U Virginia political scientists Larry Sabato warns that Robb could possibly hand the election to the loser of the popular vote, while State GOP Chair Kris Warner says Robb will vote like he's supposed to.
