The Sunday Morning Talk Shows
The penultimate weekend before Election Day. Another week of mud from both sides, and some good, American fun.
Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to Ed Gillespie and Terence McAuliffe. I expect Terence to be in rare and foul form. Ed's unflappable.
FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace talks to White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett and Kerry camper Tad Devine, and words will be exchanged between Senate campaign committee chairmen George Allen (R-Virginia) and John Corzine (D-New Jersey).
Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer will talk to Mary Cheney's sister Liz, who's also a campaign adviser, and Kerry advisor Joe "Rathergate" Lockhart, who used to work for Bill Clinton.
This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos will talk to McCain and Biden -- two occasional Bush-bashers and Kerry-bashers who will maybe be on their best behavior this close to the 2nd – and Bob Shrum and Ken Mehlman. Shrum should be absolutely rabid at this point. He's looking at another Presidential campaign non-victory, to use the soft parlance.
Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolfgang Blitzer has Representatives Peter King ® and Chuck Rangel (D), both of New York; Senators Bob Graham (D-Florida) and Rick Santorum (R-Pennsylvania); Reverends Jesse Jackson and Jerry Falwell; and the like.
I will review and summarize the shows for Sunday's Rightsided Newsletter, to which you can subscribe for free by visiting the web site at http://rightsided.tripod.com, or by sending a blank e-mail to rsn-subscribe [AT] topica.com.
It will arrive if your inbox shortly after it is completed early Sunday afternoon.
