Focus on Ralph
The election is approaching with very little mention of Ralph, except for the occasional note about him being thrown off/accepted onto some State's ballot or his receiving 1% in some gawdforsaken national poll. The Long Island paper Newsday remedies this with the linked feature article.
A semicircle of lefties, Greens, campus radicals, modern-day hippies and the generally disaffected sang "We Shall Not Be Moved," then rose to their feet and cheered the man introduced as "the only truly independent candidate for the president of the United States of America."They're describing what should be a natural constituency for JF Kerry, the war-protestor, the walking contradiction of the peacenik who volunteered to go to war.
