FCC: "Let the documentary play."

The FCC will not block Sinclair Broadcasting's scheduled airing of Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal, a documentary detailing the affects of JF Kerry's 1971 "reminiscent of Genghis Khan" testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on American P.O.W.s held captive in Vietnam. This is according the FCC Chairman Michael Powell, who said Thursday that such an action would be unprecedented and a "disservice to the First Amendment."

The Sinclair VP for programming or something was on CNBC's Capital Report last night and said they weren't showing the whole documentary but rather a one-hour program examining it, and supposedly with John Kerry invited to participate. Sounds reasonable enough but when they showed a clip, it included that photo of John Kerry sitting behind Jane Fonda, the photo I thought had been proven to be faked. Maybe they'll mention it when they "examine" the documentary and maybe they won't. I'd hate to find us all on the side of people who might say the document is forged but the story is true...
