The Chief Turned 80
I missed the fanfare. Mr. Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist turned 80 on Friday, making him chronologically the second oldest chief in the history of the Court, following Taney.
The man has done more for conservatism than any man in this country save Reagan. His precise and energetic dissents from the 1970s ought to be bound in a volume and sold to conservatives who would to understand their ideology's judicial thought.
