Blair might become a Catholic
The BBC reports that British Prime Minister Tony Blair is considering converting from the Anglican church to Roman Catholicism. They also report that he "took his first Catholic communion in public for seven years while staying in Italy." They do not report that this is violative of Catholic Church rules. (I learned this firsthand in college and have had it reinforced by EWTN.)
According to this 2002 Daily Mirror article, the Blair family attends a Roman Catholic Church, St Anne's, near their private home.
If not for his personal beliefs, is this to get in good with rebel-Catholic JF Kerry or to express solidarity with the actual church. Of course, Blair's position on the war in Iraq is another matter. (It's just like us Americans to assign a Yankee-centric motive to everything. And we're usually right.)
